Recreation Services
Recreation Services are available to all children (over age 6) and adults who are eligible for county board services.
The Recreation Brochure is a quarterly catalog of activities and events designed for children and adults with disabilities. Participation is on a first come, first serve basis and registration is required. Brochure activities include:
- Special Olympics (eligible athletes must be at least 8 years of age)
- Aquatics
- Craft and nature programs
- Therapeutic horseback riding
- Unified Olympics – a program that pairs consumers who enjoy golf, swimming, skiing or other athletic endeavors with a volunteer who shares similar interests
- Cultural field trips
- Weekend and overnight trips
- Community events and outings
Additional Recreation Services are offered through the Adult Services Programs and the ICFMRs.
