Facility and community-based Residential
Services are available to any individual with mental retardation or a
developmental disability. Respite services are available for short
term needs both in a facility as well as in the family home. Permanent
placement is available in a facility or on an individual basis.
The Board's provides facility based services
through its Intermediate Care Facilities
on the Deepwood Campus. Better known as the Adult Residence Center
and the Jacklitz Continuing Development Center, these programs offer 24 hour care
providing habilitation, health care, dietary, recreational activities and
therapy.
Respite Services can be obtained within the
Board's JCDC facility or at the Heisley Rd Respite House. This option is
best suited to those needing overnight care. For those with very short
term needs, in home care is available through the Family Resources
Program.
Coordinated through
private residential agencies, community residential services are available in
group homes, semi independent housing and as support for the family within
the family home. The Service and Support Administration Office will assist
with any placement needs.
