Service and Support Administration offers oversight and service coordination for individuals
with mental retardation and/or developmental disabilities and for their families.
For individuals enquiring about services for
the first time, the SSA office can determine eligibility for board services
and assist the family in determining their individual needs. If it
appears that services are needed from other agencies, the SSA office will
assist in making the appropriate referrals.
For those needing services from the Board,
the individually assigned Support Administrator will help develop a
customized service
plan, ensure that services are effectively coordinated and delivered
and monitor the progress of the services.
When residential services are needed, the
Support Administrator will assist the families in obtaining Medicaid
funding, when appropriate, and selecting a residential provider.
On a rotating basis,
quality assurance reviews
are conducted to monitor the overall performance of the service providers.
