Children's Services

The Board offers Children's Services from birth through age 22 at our Broadmoor School location.

Services for infants  through age three and their families are coordinated with the Lake General Health District's Help Me Grow Program.  Families are offered information and support tailored for their child. Services may include physical, occupational and speech therapy, developmental psychology, and interactive play experiences.

Preschool-age children with developmental disabilities enroll in classes which offer a play based curriculum stressing cognitive, social , communication, motor and self help skills.  Preschoolers with no disabilities also are eligible to participate on a fee basis.

Chartered by the Ohio Department of Education, our school age  program offers a multi-disciplinary approach for children and young adults. The individual-centered curriculum emphasizes  academic, emotional and social growth.  Computer-assisted adaptive technology and community based vocational skills training are incorporated on an individual basis.
